This kitchen features maple and cherry cabinets, concrete countertops, hand made glass tile backsplash and porcelain tile flooring that is heated.  The main feature is the recycled and scrap wood wall.  This wall is made of salvaged douglas fir from the house’s original wood lathe and plaster walls, scrap angel’s heart from a project built in New Orleans, scrap mahogany from a commercial project and black walnut from my grandfathers farm in Iowa.
